Common Questions

Hosting FAQ

Do I need special skills?

No. If you're organised, friendly, and care about your neighbourhood, you're qualified. We provide all tools and training.

How much time does it take?

Most hosts spend 2-4 hours per week. Food hosts may spend slightly more around delivery days (end of month).

Can there be multiple hosts per block?

Absolutely. We encourage it. Different people can take different roles — one manages sharing, another manages food, another leads onboarding.

What if my block already has a host?

Great — you can join as a co-host or take on a different role. More hands make lighter work.

Can I host for more than one building?

Yes. Some hosts cover their entire floor, building, or even adjacent buildings. Apply for each location.

What's the Business Partner role?

If you run a local business, you can accept Community Credits as partial payment. We're building the directory now — apply to be among the first.

Not ready to host?

Join as a resident first. Complete the Block Survey, earn Community Credits, and explore what's available on your block.
