Community Impact

Lead the solidarity economy in your building

What Block Hosts Do:

  • Organize and coordinate sharing pools (tools, equipment, spaces)
  • Manage food orders and coordinate deliveries
  • Welcome new residents and answer questions
  • Facilitate democratic voting on building priorities
  • Build connections and trust among neighbors
  • Act as liaison between residents and Block Share

Time Commitment:

Sharing Pool Host: 2-3 hours/week for pool management, resident onboarding, issue resolution

Food Host: 6 hours per order cycle (every 6-8 weeks) for coordination and delivery

Many hosts do both! The roles complement each other and build on the same neighborhood relationships.
